I believe in Artwork that possesses the land.
My paintings express the complexity of the landscape while examining the nuances of light, space
and time. My paintings are inspired by the flat plains of the prairies, the modulating creeks
and rivers that carve through those plains and the small groves of trees and bush the punctuate
these vast open spaces.
I capture the unique design and light of the landscape by focusing on what I see and feel when I
am in it. Paintings then take on the essence of the landscape by using expressive brush work,
interesting compositions and complimentary colours.
